Taking the next step in a relationship can be a fun and exciting thing. Deciding to see each other exclusively can help you to get to know the person better. Here is how to create an exclusive relationship.

1. See if he throws you any signals that make it clear that he's not interested.
2. Consider how he's acting around you. Is he acting almost like he's your boyfriend? I.e., always eager to see you and hear from you? Does he always make time for you or at least make an obvious effort to make time for you?
3. Find a subtle way for him to tell you whether or not he's dating someone else at the same time he's dating you. For example, say he's a juggler. Talk about juggling and then say something like "Ha, you're probably juggling a bunch of us girls at the same time." Or if you're talking about him, maybe say "You've probably got like 3 girls lined up right now, you stud, you!"
4. If he mentions he's seeing someone else too, obviously drop it since he doesn't want to be in an exclusive relationship. If the answer is he's not, then ask him "why not?". At this point he'll either answer something along the lines of "because I have you" ("I'm happy with things the way they are", "This is good enough for me", etc), "I haven't met anyone yet", or he'll just be confused.
5. If his answer is "because I have you" or one of the variants, then ask him if he wants to be in an exclusive relationship with you.
6. If his answer is "I haven't met anyone yet", judge to see if he's saying that because he really means it or he's saying that because he thinks you're asking because you want him to date other people (probably so you can date other people). If he's serious, then forget really asking him. If you think he's just saying that in defense of what he thinks is coming, then say "oh, I was just wondering if you wanted to keep this relationship as casual dating or if you wanted an exclusive relationship."
7. If he is just confused, then say, "oh, I was just wondering if you wanted to keep this relationship as casual dating or if you wanted an exclusive relationship."
