How to Get Out of a Speeding Ticket

Here is some advice on how to get out of a speeding ticket. Read it and remember, it might save you hundreds of dollars.
| | Don't do anything suspicious or sudden. The cop doesn't know if you are a lunatic or not. |
| | Name-dropping may actually help |
| | Play dumb when asked "Do you know why I pulled you over?" or "Do you know how fast you were going?" |
| | Kiss up by saying "ma'am" or "sir" and "officer" |
| | Don't argue. |
| | Don't be rude. |
| | Don't be sarcastic. |
| | Ask for a warning
If that didn't work and now you got a ticket... |
| | Instead of paying a ticket you can attend traffic school or fight the ticket in court. |
| | Don't count on a no-show from the ticketting officer |
| | Always plead not guilty |
| | Get the officer's notes wrote about you |
| | Polish your defense and arguments against the officer's observations or defending your own conduct |
| | Bring evidence, diagrams and pictures. |

Also, try calling the state trooper number and inform the dispatcher that you are being pulled over and to tell the trooper that you are pulling off at the next exit (or other safe location). Troopers will appreciate that you kept their safety in mind. Comment by: buccicone.2
