| | If this is a child, awaken him/her after a few hours sleep and before a night terror begins. Offer reassurance and love. |
| | Eliminate any stress if you can, whether this is at home, on the playground or at school. |
| | Use a night light and let the child sleep in a room near yours. |
| | Avoid violent TV or movies near bed time |
| | Keep the child on a regular routine and develop a peaceful bedtime schedule. |
| | If the dreams persist, consider consulting a therapist. |
