AFI (in recent years short for A Fire Inside), is an American rock band from Ukiah, California that formed in 1991.

	Won AP's reader poll for for 2006 for Artist Of The Year, Music Video Of The Year (Love Like Winter), Band With The Most Integrity, and AP Cover Of The Year. The band was also voted for Musical Collaboration I'd Kill To See In 2007: AFI and The Cure.
	Was named Best Vegetarian Band and Best Group for the PETA2 Libby Awards 2006.
	Won a 2006 mtvU Woodie for Alumni, which is for artists who have reached main stream stardom, but still remember where they come from.
	Members Davey Havok and Adam Carson are the only two members from the original line-up.
	AFI stands for "A Fire Inside".
