1.	Profession fo faith to Allah and Muhammad as his prophet
2.	Prayer - Five times a day, at designated times, facing mecca
3.	Zakat - almsgiving; giving a proportion of one's wealth to the needy
4.	Fasting - between dawn and dusk during Ramadan
5.	The Hajj - pilgrimage to Mecca one in one's lifetime
