The college football season is slowly sneaking up on us, which means that EA Sports' NCAA Football 08 will be coming out very soon. Well, according to the EA Sports website, July 17th, to be exact. Here are some returning starts that will be near the 99 overall ranking this year:

1. Arkansas HB #5 (Darren McFadden) - McFadden's speed and power will make him a brute force for NCAA 08 gamers who love to pound the opposing defense with the ground attack.
2. Florida QB #15 (Tim Tebow) - NCAA gamers who like to run the spread option and like running QB's will surely take advantage of Tebow's skills as both a runner and a passer in NCAA 08.
3. Hawaii QB #15 (Colt Brennan) - Brennan declared for the NFL Draft following the season but decided to pull his name out of the draft at the last minute. The NFL's loss is NCAA Football 08 players' gain as they will now have the option of using Brennan to lead the Rainbow Warriors awesome aerial attack.
4. West Virginia QB #5 (Pat White) - Pat White may end up being the ultimate weapon in this year's version of NCAA Football. White is a QB who has the speed and running ability of a RB and can also throw the ball.
5. West Virgina RB (Steve Slaton) - Slaton is a speed back and was one of the fastest players in last season's NCAA Football 07 game. It's likely he will have the highest SPEED rating in this season's game.
6. Louisville QB #12 (Brian Brohm) - Gamers who like the deep ball will love to air it out with Brohm and his deep threat WR Mario Urrutia (WR #7), a 6-6 wideout who can go up and get the deep ball, much like Georgia Tech WR Calvin Johnson in last seasons game.

Other near 99s
7. Rutgers HB #27 (Ray Rice) - Ran for 20 TD's last season for Scarlet Knights.
8. Ohio State LB #33 (James Laurinaitis) - Buckeye LB made tons of big plays last season.
9. Vanderbilt WR # 10 (Earl Bennett) - Great player on bad team, a real "sleeper".
10. Florida WR # 1 (Percy Harvin) - Speedy WR had big freshman season in 07.
11. Penn State LB # 40 (Dan Connor) - Nittany Lion LB was a beast last season.
12. Ohio State LB (James Lauriniatis) - Could be the best defensive player in football this season.
