Here are 10 tips for when you head to the beach with your digital camera next:
| 1. | Look for focal points - focus on something besides the vast ocean |
| 2. | Timing is important - the start and end of days is best |
| 3. | Watch the Horizon - keep it square with the frame |
| 4. | Head to the Beach When Others Avoid It - stormy seas and clody skies make great pictures |
| 5. | Exposure Bracketing - adjust for the bright lighting |
| 6. | Spot Metering - make sure you expose what you want to expose |
| 7. | Fill Flash - use your flash to combat shadows from sunglasses, hats, etc. |
| 8. | UV Filters - if for nothing else, it protects your lens |
| 9. | Polarizing Filters - same effect as your sunglasses |
| 10. | Black and White - it completely changes the feel of things |
