A compiled list of some of the creepiest episodes of TV's classic 'X-Files'. These will make you squirm, and yearn for the 90's. Feel free to add more.
| | "Home" (Season 4): This landmark episode is about as hardcore as it gets for the series. Little leaguers accidentally uncover the remains of an extremely disfigured remains of an infant, leading Mulder and Scully to uncover the truth about the Peacocks, a family that has been inbreeding for generations. |
| | "DPO" (Season 3): One of the best episodes of the X-files: A local teen discovers he has gained great electrical powers after surviving being struck by lightning. The showdown in the arcade at the end will make your skin crawl. |
| | "The Walk" (Episode 3): A disabled war veteran claims a phantom soldier has killed all his loved ones and kept him alive to suffer. Mulder has some theories of his own. Oh, did we mention he is a terrifying amputee who has to wheel himself around on a cart? |
| | "Paper Hearts" (Season 4): Mulder's dream leads him to discover the 14th victim of a serial killer. The murderer takes heart-shaped fabric from each of his young girl victims' clothing, leading Mulder on a chase to find two more girls- one of which may be his sister. This episode has a creepy 'Alice in Wonderland' theme. |
| | "Demons" (Season 4): Mulder wakes up in a strange motel room with blood on his shirt , not knowing how he arrived there. A double murder has been committed with Mulder's gun. Mulder and Scully attempt to clear Mulder's name while finding out what is causing Mulder's memory lapses and blackouts |
| | "Unusual Suspects" (Season 5): The origins of the Lone Gunmen are shown. They meet at a computer and electronics show in a convention center and combine forces to help a mysterious woman obtain confidential information. One of the lighter-hearted episodes, the Lone Gunmen offer comic relief. |
| | "Chinga" (Episode 5): Scully encounters several people at a grocery who have clawed their own eyes. She assists the police in discovering the cause of this unusual occurrence. Scully's investigations lead her to a single mother with a disturbed little girl and her even more disturbing doll, who is responsible. Creepy! |
| | "All Souls" (Season 5): A wheelchair-bound girl walks out of her house and is later found dead in a praying position, her eyes burned out. Scully assists in the investigation at the bidding of her priest. She discovers two other girls with the same deformities who may be in a similar danger. A chilling performance by the social worker, who turns out to be the the devil. This episode features one of Sculley's more vulnerable, less logical moments. |
| | "Arcadia" (Season 6): Scully and Mulder go undercover as husband and wife in a high-class planned community where several couples have gone missing. The monster is scary, but what makes the episode is seeing Mulder loving pretending to be a couple while Scully is visibly uncomfortable. A good mix of funny and creepy moments. |
