5 Reasons Why Mike Huckabee Can Win The Presidency
TOP #
Tags: Mike, Huckabee, Republican, 2008, Election
Who is Mike Huckabee? He is the former Governor of Arkansas who is running in the Republican race against heavyweights like Mitt Romney and Rudy Giuliani. But does Huckabee have what it takes to get the nomination and win the presidency? Here are 5 reasons why he can.
| 1. | Former Governor of Arkansas- Huckabee is a former Governor of the great state of Arkansas, home to our former President Bill Clinton. Huckabee is even from the small little town as Clinton, Hope Arkansas! |
| 2. | Religious Right- As a former pastor before becoming governor, Huckabee possesses the religious qualifications to secure the religious right's support. In a field where the top two candidates in the Republican party are a Mormon and a pro-abortion rights Catholic, Huckabee has a real chance to win the nomination. |
| 3. | Weak Competition- Most political pundits would agree that in the 2008 election, the Democrats possess the star power. In fact, this may be the most wide open Republican field in years, which gives everyone running a fighting chance. |
| 4. | Huckabee is Personable- Huckabee more than any other candidate has the personality and charisma to attract large support from the Republican base. He brought down the house at the last Republican debate with his Reaganesque quip, "Our congress is spending money like John Edwards at a beauty shop." |
| 5. | True Conservative- In a race where most of the Republican candidates don't look like true conservatives, Huckabee stands out as someone who can take the mantle for the Republicans as the conservative representative. |

I think if any republican can win it will be Giuliani. Otherwise Democrats have it in the bag. Comment by: buccicone.2 These are all good points. I would argue though that these are 5 good reasons why he will win the Republican nomination. I still think that the Democratic "star power" you said will put the Oval Office in their hands.
