Why Barak Obama Won The CNN/Youtube Debates   Add to wiki

The CNN/Youtube debates were an exciting shake-up from the normal debate process. Normal working Americans got to put the candidates on the spot with their unique and important questions. But who won the debate? Here is a list of reasons why Barak Obama won the first ever CNN/Youtube debates

  •
  • Not Scripted- Barak was the only candidate that actually answered the questions from the youtube users. Most of the candidates, including Hillary, chose to frame the question in their best interest, sometimes not even answering the question at all. Barak came across very well in this regard and showed the voters that he's not just another politician.
  •
  • Looked Presidential- Maybe it was the change in format but this debate really showcased Barak's Presidential look. He came across as charismatic and authoritative. I wasn't alive to witness the appeal of John Kennedy or Ronald Reagan, but Barak seemed to encompass the same qualities of passion and awe that those two men exuded.
  •
  • Trustworthy- In a time where the American people have a low level of trust in their elected leaders, Barak came across as the candidate most deserving of the publics trust in important matters.
  •
  • Honest- Sometimes Barak was too honest, as in the case where he said he would meet with leaders from rogue nations. But it's that honesty that makes Barak so appealing, and a fresh change from the current administration.
  •
  • Caring about people- Of all the candidates in the Democratic race, Barak seems like the one in it for the right reasons, to help people and change America's direction for the better. Hillary's life long dream has been to be President, and that's evidenced in the way she speaks and comes across. But Barak offers a change in political direction.
