Worst Monday Night Football Announcers
IMHO
Tags: Worst, Monday, Night, Football, Announcers
MNF is an American tradition, but over the years there have been quite a few bad announcers in the booth. Here is a list of the worst Monday Night Football announcers.
| 1. | Fred Williamson- Williamson, the former Kansas City Chiefs defensive back nicknamed "the hammer," was so bad that producers would not even let him finish out the regular season. His inarticulate comments are legendary. |
| 2. | Dennis Miller- While Miller was and still is a funny comedian, his incoherant rants and analogies were not suited for football. Audiences soon grew tired of his forced humor and bad chemistry with Fouts and Michaels. |
| 3. | Boomer Esiason- The former Bengal's Quarterback had and ego as big as his throwing arm and had not chemistry with fellow broadcaster Al Michaels. |
| 4. | Don Meredith- Never a very good analyst, with the departure of Cosell, his flaws become visible to the public. |
| 5. | Howard Cosell- The legendary announcer was more of a commodity than a real football analyst. The always controversial announcer got into hot water when he refered Alvin Garrett as a little monkey. |

CoSell and Meredith started this thing off, without that left field entertainment the Monday Night Football would have never had if for long. This rating of people was done by some younger kid who has not idea who Howard Cosell or Don Mrredith was other than "past" people who did MNF. Whatever! Comment by: Jashuh
