Terrorists attacked the United States on September 11, 2001 when they crashed two airliners into the World Trade Center towers in New York City. Where were you and what were you doing when you first heard about this tragedy?

	I was actually in DC at a conference. We flew into Dulles that morning (same airport one of the planes was hijacked from.) Pentagon was probably 4 miles away from us. Flights were cancelled and we got one of the last rental cars to drive back to Ohio.
	When the first plane hit I was walking to my science class. I found out when my friend and I saw our teacher staring at the TV, and during that same class we saw the 2nd plane hit on the TV. I was in eighth grade
