These are the songs I listen to the most when I'm sad, usually after a long day before I go to sleep. Somehow listening to somewhat depressing music actually makes me feel a little better.

  •
  • "A Fond Farewell" by Elliott Smith
  •
  • "Precious" by Depeche Mode
  •
  • "Breakdown" by Seether
  •
  • "Hide and Seek" by Imogen Heap
  •
  • "Let Me Go" by 3 Doors Down
  •
  • "Innocent" by Our Lady Peace
  •
  • "Wonderwall" by Oasis
  •
  • "Bitter for Sweet" by Blaqk Audio
  •
  • "Holiday from Real" by Jack's Mannequin

I really like Dido. Her songs are all about love, and exes, and dead loves. I play it super loud when I'm unhappy.

"How to Save a Life" by The Fray is one of those songs you hate but just can't help being able to sing it.

Glad I'm not the only one who actually feels a little better to put in a depressing tune & maybe shed a few tears or sighs. I'm surprised not to see any country music songs listed. ;-)

I usually listen to those songs when I'm alone so nobody can distract me while I'm listening to them. You did a good job creating this list. =)
