Five Best Books I've Read in the Past Month

I'm trying to wean myself from my book buying habit and only check out books from the library. I visit a local bookstore and make lists of the books I want to check out at the library. Here are five of the best from the past month:
| 1. | Heartsick by Chelsea Cain (Hannibal Lecter-eque mystery set in the PDX) |
| 2. | Look Me in the Eye by John Elder Robison (August Burrough's autistic brother) |
| 3. | Paint It Black by Janet Fitch (White Oleander was better, but this book, set in the 80s punk scene was quite lovely) |
| 4. | Beatrix Potter: A Life in Nature by Linda Lear (just amazing, with detailed drawings and photos) |
| 5. | The Other Mother by Gwendolen Gross (tis Mommy Lit but with a darker side, good for bath reading) |
